The Minisby of Foreign Affilirs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Federal Ministry for
ｅｵｭｐｑｾｄ＠
and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria commit to further strengthen
the already close and friendly existing bilateraJ relation, particularly to promote and
encourage the successful preliminary dialogues of cultures and religions between the two
countries.
The two Ministries have agreed to jointly work out a ftamework on future directions of
bilateral cooperation and reached an understanding in the following:
Reaffinn the importance of promoting culturaJ and religious diversity and pluralism to meet
the challenges of globalization and the requirement of sustainable development.
Acknowledge the positive achievements already accomplished in the area of dialogue of
cultures and religions through various joint initiatives between both countries, such as
diplomatic staff exchange, symposia. interfaith dialogues and other activities.
Commit to enhance their cooperation in the field of dialogue of cultures and religions in all
areas ofjoint interest in order to improve mutual understanding.
Share the views to encourage and develop direct cooperation and joint activities in the field
of dialogue of cultures and religions, aiming at the promotion and protection of demOCI"'IC)'.
human rights, and the rule of law; fighting all fonns of discrimination; the equal dignity of
human being and gender equality; strengthening of a pluralistic and democratic society9
