At the invitation of Premier Kim Il Sung of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea, President/Prime
t:inister Sukarno of the Republic of Indonesia paid a state
visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from
rovember 1, to Uovember 4, 1964.
President Sukarno was accompanied by Second Deputy Prime
:r:Iinister, Leiroena; l!Iinister/Coordinator for National Development Planning, Suharto; Linister for Land, Postal and
Telecommunications, and Tourism, Hidajat; ginister for Information, Achmadi; riinister/Secretary General of the National
Front, Sudibjo; Minister of State, Oei Tju Tat; Lt. General
Djatikusumo; r;!ember of the Supreme Advisory Council, A. l:.
Dasaad; First Deputy of the I.Iinister for Foreign Affairs,

Suwito Kusumowidagdo and other high ranking officials of the
Government of the Republic of Indonesia.
During their stay in Korea, President Sukarno and t>..is
party were accordecl a warm welcome and hospitality by the
Government and people of all walks of life of Korea.
The \; arm and friendly feelings shown by the Korean people
to President Sukarno and his party have demonstrated the strong
friendship between the peoples of Korea and Indonesia.
In the capital city of Pyongyane; President Sukarno
addressed a mass-meeting, witnessed a demonstration of mass
games and attended art performances which are clear manifestations of the existing friendly relations between the two
countries.

During this state visit President Sukarno and Premier
Kim Il Sung held talks in a frank and friendly atmosphere.
Present at the talks from the Korean side were Choi Yong
Kun, President of the Presidiurn of the Supreme People's

Assembly; Kim Kwang Hyup, Vice-Premier of the Cabinet; Li Joo
Yun, Vice -Premier' of the Cabinet; Pak Sung Chul , Minister of
Foreign Affairs ; Pak Wang Sup, Ambassador Zxtraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People 's Republic of Korea
to the Republic of Indonesia; and Chin Choong Kook, Director
of the Fourth Department of the Foreign Ministry.
Present at the talks on the Indonesian side were Leimena,
Second Vice -Pre mier of the Republic of Indonesia; Suharto ,
Senior kinister for Econooic Development ; Hidajat , i.".inister
of Land, Conununicetion and Tourism; .Achmadi , 1.Iinister of
Information; Sudibjo , kinister nnd Secretary General of National
Front; Oei Tju Tat, T.!inister of State ; Lieut. Gen . Djatikusumo;
A.lJ. Dasaad , r.Iember of the Supreme Advisory Council; Su\'"Jito
Kusm:iowidagdo , First Deputy Foreign I.;inister .
During these talks views were exchanged on questions of
further consolidating and developing the relations of friendship, cooperetion and solidarity bet\'Jeen Korea and Indonesia
and on international questions of corn.mon concern.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction that the relations of
friendship and cooperation between Indonesia and Korea in recent
years have been developing steadily in conformity with the

common interests of their peoples and セゥエィ@
the interest of
freedom and peace in Asia , and in the world in general. They
considered that this visit of President Sukarno to Korea is of
epochal significance in further cementing and developing the
friendly relations 1etween the two peoples and governments.

President Sukarno hailed the achievements made by the
Korean people in building a new society and in the development
of a national economy based on self - reliance under the leadership
of the Korean government headed by Premier Kim Il Sung. These
are valuable contributions to the prosperity and

further development of a unified Korea in the future .
President Sukarno expressed full support to the strugele
