SPECIFIC AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE GOVERNMENTS OF THE REPUBLIC
OF INDONESIA AND THE KINGDOM
TO THE SOCIAL SECURITY

OF BELGIUM ON ASSISTANCE

ADMINISTRATION "PERUM ASTEK"

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia
and
the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium,
Within the framework of the General Agreement on Technical Cooperation of June 16, 1969,
Desiring to promote the development

of

Perum

Astek,

Wanting to cooperate in the implementation of the project described hereafter;

Have agreed as follows
Article 1 - Objectives
The present agreement aims at developing and improving
the activities of Perum Astek

in the field of

social

security through the retraining of its management

and

staff, the study of its present and future social secu
rity programs and through the rationalization of management methods and structures.
Article 2 - Terms and conditions
2.1. The project consists of three distinct

operations;

a. the training of Perum Astek employees
b. the training of Perum Astek management and senior staff
c. the study and formulation of policy

proposals

concerning
- the application and development

of

and future social security programs

- the streamlining of Perum Astek's management
procedures and methods

- investment strategies and projects.
2.2. These objectives and the ways and means to realise
them are specified in the technical terms of

ference which are attached to this agreement

and

form an integral part thereof.
Article 3 - Responsibilities
3.1. The Belgian Government designates the General Administration for Development Cooperation

(GADC)

as agency responsible for the realisation of
contribution to the project. The GADC is

ted in Indonesia by the Development Cooperation Section of the Belgian Embassy in Jakarta.
3.2. 1'he Government of Indonesia designates Perum

As-

tek as agency responsible for its contribution to
the project.
3.3. For reasons of efficiency, the GADC may
