The Seventh Annua l Consultation between the RepubHc sf Indonesia
and Malaysia was held on 18 May 201 o at the Pnme M nister's a
Malaysia Offtce1 Putraja,y a, M::dtiysia.
T he Delegation of the Repubtic Of 1hdonesia for the Annual
Consultation was ted by H1g E:xceJlency President of the Republic of
lndonesra, Dr. H. Susikl Dambang Vudhoyono while the Delegation of
Malaysia waf;i led by the Honourable Prime Minister of ｍ｡ｾｹｳｩ

matters have been agreed ta by both sfdes with regards to the
amendments ro the Memorandum of Understanding on the
Recruitment and Placement of lndonesran Domestic Worke1s 2008:

The Domestic Vw'omers shall be entitled to one resr day per week
as provided under ·the MaJaysian Labour Laws.
h . T he wage range of the domestic workers -shaU be det:errn•ned
according to the terms and condltloos ot tl1e employment contract
and will b.e based on the rna rket forces . 9oth Govemmen ts sha Jl
monitor from -lme lo time and may t ake necessary measure to
ensure that the wage range is in accordance wi h the market
furces.
c. The passport should be in ttle possession of the ､ｯｭｾｳｴ＠
c workers.
Jn the event of abscondment of the domestic workers, havtng
taKen into account ttte Malaysian existing raws and poUcies 1 tt1eir
ten porary emp1oynllent pass will b-s revoked automatically 9nd
they are not aUowed lc ｲｾ ﾷ ･ｮｴｲ＠
Malaysia for employment
purposes.
d. The cost s1ru:cture shall be etrached as Annex to the Memorandum
of Understandjng.
Both Ministers wiU furlher facilil:ate towards formalising the signing of
the amendments to the Memorandum of U11derstanding.
