PROTOCOL ON COOPERATION

THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND
THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SLOVENIA
The Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, hereafter referred to as the Parties
Desirous to further develop and strengthen the traditional relations of friendship and
mutually advantageous Cooperation between the two countries and peoples,
Working joinUy for the safeguarding of international peace and security, and to
promote international cooperation in confonnity with the principles of the Charter of the
United Nations,
Have agreed as follows:
Article I
The high-ranking officials of the Parties shall hold, whenever necessary, consultations
through mutual visits and meetings on matters of mutual interest.
The dates and subject matters of such a mutual visits and meetings shall be agreed
upon through diplomatic channels, as to the venue, the meetings will be held alternately in
Slovenia and Indonesia.
Travel expanses and other costs related to the mutual visits shall be borne by the
sending Party.
Article II
The diplomatic and consular missions of both countries in third countries shall
maintain regular contacts and shall enhance the exchange of views on matters of mutual
interests.
Article Ill
The pennanent missions of both countries to the United Nations and other
international organizations as well as their representatives attending international
conferences, shall maintain regular contacts and, whenever necessary, consult each other
on issues of mutual interests.
Article IV
1- The subject matters of the consultations referred to in Article I shall indude, inter alia,
the following:

Issues concerning the organizing and deepening of bilateral cooperation
Issues relating to the point of view of both countries regarding regional matters of
mutual interests
Issues relating to security and cooperation in Europe and in South East Asia
Issues relating to ASEM
Issues relating to the cooperation between the Organization for Security and
Cooperation and Indonesia.
2 - Either of the parties may request, should the need arise, the holding of extraordinary
meetings.
Article V
This Protocol shall enter into force on the date of signing and shall remain in force for
and indefinite period of time, unles:s terminated by either Party in writing through diplomatic
channels. The Protocol shall cease to have effect six months following the receipt of such
notiiication.
Done at-Jakarta on 24 111 April2006 in two original copies in the English language, both texts
being equally authentic.
