Pengaruh Suplementasi Bakteri Asam Laktat Isolat UM 1 dan Inulin terhadap Kultur Benih Ikan Nila (Oreochromis niloticus)

PENGARUH SUPLEMENTASI BAKTERI ASAM LAKTAT
ISOLAT UM 1 DAN INULIN TERHADAP KULTUR BENIH
IKAN NILA (Oreochromis niloticus)

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat efek pemberian pakan berupa probiotik
Bakteri Asam Laktat (BAL) Isolat UM 1 dan prebiotik (Inulin) terhadap sintasan,
laju pertumbuhan spesifik, dan efisiensi pakan dari benih ikan nila (Oreochromis
niloticus). Perlakuan terdiri atas kontrol, probiotik, prebiotik dan sinbiotik yang
ditambahkan ke dalam kultur benih ikan dimana masing-masing akuarium berisi
10 ekor benih ikan nila. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada akuarium (40 x 25 x 28 cm)
selama 21 hari. Ikan tersebut diberi pakan perlakuan selama 15 hari sebelum diuji
tantang. Ikan diuji tantang dengan bakteri patogen Aeromonas hydrophila, lalu
diamati selama 5 hari. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pemberian
suplemen pada pakan tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kelangsungan hidup,
laju pertumbuhan spesifik dan efisiensi pakan ikan nila selama masa
pemeliharaan, namun memberikan hasil yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan
tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan setelah infeksi dengan Aeromonas hydrophila,

yaitu pada perlakuan A (kontrol +) sebesar 42%, perlakuan C (probiotik) sebesar
89%, perlakuan D (prebiotik) sebesar 85% dan perlakuan E (sinbiotik) sebesar
96%. Penambahan probiotik, prebiotik dan sinbiotik pada pakan dapat
meningkatkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup ikan hingga 54% akibat infeksi
Aeromonas hydrophila.

ISOLATE AND INULIN FOR SEED CULTURE
OF TILAPIA FISH (Oreochromis niloticus)

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted to see the effect of feeding in the form of Lactic Acid

Bacteria (LAB) probiotic UM 1 Isolate and prebiotic (inulin) on survival, specific
growth rate and feeding efficiency of tilapia fish (Oreochromis niloticus). The
treatment consisted of control, probiotic, prebiotic and sinbiotic addition have
been added to aquarium that contained 10 tilapia fish. This research was
conducted at the aquarium (40 x 25 x 28 cm) for 21 days. The fish were treated by
different probiotic types of for 15 days before being tested challenged. After that,
the fish were challenged with pathogenic bacteria Aeromonas hydrophila.
Observed for 5 days. The results obtained indicated that supplementation to the
diet had no effect on the survival rate, specific growth rate and feeding efficiency
of tilapia during the culture period, yet to yield significant results in improving the
survival rate of fish after infected by Aeromonas hydrophila, namely the treatment
of A ( control +) by 42%, treatment C (probiotic) by 89%, treatment D (prebiotic)
by 85% and treatment E (sinbiotic) by 96%. The addition of probiotic, prebiotic
and sinbiotic on feed can increase the survival rate of fish up to 54% due to
infection of Aeromonas hydrophila.
