JOINT STATEMENT

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Senior
Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Democratic
Republic of Timor-Leste,
REFERRING to the Arrangement between the Government of the Republic of
Indonesia and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste on
the Traditional Border Crossing and Regulated Markets, signed in Jakarta on 11
June 2003;
NOTING the Summary of Meeting of the Senior Official Meeting Scorecard of
the Joint Ministerial Commission between the Republic of Indonesia and the
Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste held in Denpasar, Indonesia, on 27 - 28
April2014;
HEREBY launch the border crossing points of Oepoli - Citrana and Laktutus Belulik Leten followed by the implementation of the border crossing pass in
those two border crossing points after the signing of this Joint Statement. The
implementation of the border crossing pass aimed to facilitate the nationals of
the Republic of Indonesia and the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, who are
domiciled in their respective border areas, for the traditional and customary
purposes or trade at a regulated market.
