ini
merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang
bertujuan untuk
mendeskripsikan peran komite sekolah sebagai badan pemberi pertimbangan, badan
pendukung, badan pengontrol, dan badan penghubung dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan
di SMA Kristen 2 Salatiga. Subyek dalam penelitian ini ialah Kepala Sekolah SMA Kristen
2 Salatiga serta pengurus komite sekolah SMA Kristen 2 Salatiga yang terdiri dari Ketua II
komite sekolah dan anggota komite sekolah bidang pengembangan pendidikan. Proses
pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengisi angket dan wawancara. Angket diberikan
kepada pengurus komite sekolah SMA Kristen 2 Salatiga, butir-butir angket menggunakan
indikator-indikator empiris peran komite sekolah. Wawancara dilakukan kepada pengurus
komite sekolah dan kepala sekolah SMA Kristen 2 Salatiga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa peran komite sekolah dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan di SMA Kristen 2 Salatiga
sebagai badan pertimbangan, badan pendukung, badan pengontrol maupun sebagai badan
penghubung masih tergolong rendah. Faktor penyebabnya antara lain adalah keberadaan
komite sekolah semacam formalitas saja, pengurus komite sekolah pasif, banyaknya
pengurus komite sekolah yang sudah tidak aktif, dan sekolah tidak memberdayakan komite
sekolahnya.

Abstract
This research is a qualitative descriptive one with a purpose to describe the school
committee’s role as the Advisory Agency, Supporting Agency, Controlling Agency, and
Mediator Agency in education at Salatiga Christian High School 2. The subjects in this
research is the principal of Salatiga Christian High School 2 and board committees of
Salatiga Christian High School 2, which consists of chairman II school committee and
school committee members the development of education. Collecting data of this research
using questionnaires and interviews. Questionnaires given to the board of school
committees Salatiga Christian High School 2, grains of questionnaire using empirical
indicators of the role of the school committee. Interviews were conducted to the board of
the school committee and school principal in Salatiga Christian High School 2. The results
showed that the school committee in providing education Salatiga Christian High School 2
as the Advisory Agency, Supporting Agency, Controlling Agency, and Mediator Agency are
still categorized low. Contributing factors include the existence of school committee is just
formality, the board of school committee passive, the number of school board committees
are inactive, and the school does not empower the school committee.
