Evaluasi Kesesuaian Lahan Kabupaten Dairi untuk Tanaman Kopi Robusta (Coffea robusta Lindl.)
ABSTRACT
MUHAMMAD NAZARUL YANIS : The Land Suitability Evaluation of
Dairi Regency for Robusta Coffee plant (Coffea robusta Lindl.). Guided by Ir.
Hardy Guchi MP. and Mariani Sembiring SP. MP.
This research purposed to evaluate the suitability of land for cultivation of
robusta coffee in Dairi with altitude is at 400 - 1700 m above sea level . This
research started to do on May 2013 to November 2013. The research conducted
by taking a sample soil based method free of survey grid with detail of survey
level and then analyzed on the laboratory and land evaluation performed by the
matching method is based on the need of land for plants with properties owned by
land on any limiting factors . The parameters observed in the field are soil depth,
soil drainage, slope, the dangers of erosion, the dangers of flood, and the rock
surface and laboratory parameters analyzed include physical properties (texture)
and chemical properties of the soil pH, soil cation exchanges capacity, base
saturation, C-organic, and soil salinity.
The results showed that the actual land suitability classes for sample 1 is
S3tc, sample 2 is S3tc,nr, sample 3 is S3tc, sample 4 is S3tc,nr,eh, sample 5 is
S3tc,nr, sample 6 is S3tc,nr, sample 7 is Nrc, sample 8 is S3tc,nr, sample 9 is
S3tc,rc,nr, sample 10 is S3tc, sample 11 is S3tc,nr, sample 12 is S3tc,oa,rc,nr,
sample 13 is S3tc,nr, sample 14 is S3tc,rc, sample 15 is S3tc,nr,uh, and sample 16
is Nrc. Potential land suitability classes for sample 1 is S3tc, sample 2 is S3tc,
sample 3 is S3tc, sample 4 is S3tc, sample 5 is S3tc, sample 6 is S3tc, sample 7 is
Nrc, sample 8 is S3tc, sample 9 is S3tc,rc, sample 10 is S3tc, sample 11 is S3tc,
sample 12 is S3tc,rc, sample 13 is S3tc, sample 14 is S3tc,rc, sample 15 is S3tc,
and sample 16 is Nrc.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kesesuaian lahan untuk
pengembangan tanaman kopi robusta di Kabupaten Dairi dengan ketinggian
tempat berada pada 400 – 1700 m diatas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei 2013 sampai dengan November 2013. Penelitian
dilakukan dengan mengambil contoh tanah berdasarkan metode survei grid bebas
dengan tingkat survei detail kemudian dianalisis laboratorium dan evaluasi lahan
dilakukan dengan metode matching yakni berdasarkan kebutuhan lahan untuk
tanaman dengan sifat yang dimiliki oleh lahan pada setiap faktor pembatas.
Parameter yang diamati dilapangan adalah kedalaman tanah, drainase,
kemiringan lereng, tingkat bahaya erosi, bahaya banjir, dan batuan permukaan dan
parameter yang dianalisis dilaboratorium meliputi sifat fisik (tekstur) dan sifat
kimia yakni pH tanah, kapasitas tukar kation tanah, kejenuhan basa, C-organik,
dan salinitas.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas kesesuaian lahan aktual pada
sampel 1 adalah S3tc, sampel 2 adalah S3tc,nr, sampel 3 adalah S3tc, sampel 4
adalah S3tc,nr,eh, sampel 5 adalah S3tc,nr, sampel 6 adalah S3tc,nr, sampel 7
adalah Nrc, sampel 8 adalah S3tc,nr, sampel 9 adalah S3tc,rc,nr, sampel 10 adalah
S3tc, sampel 11 adalah S3tc,nr, sampel 12 adalah S3tc,oa,rc,nr, sampel 13 adalah
S3tc,nr, sampel 14 adalah S3tc,rc, sampel 15 adalah S3tc,nr,eh, dan sampel 16
adalah Nrc. Kelas kesesuaian lahan potensial pada sampel 1 adalah S3tc, sampel 2
adalah S3tc, sampel 3 adalah S3tc, sampel 4 adalah S3tc, sampel 5 adalah S3tc,
sampel 6 adalah S3tc, sampel 7 adalah Nrc, sampel 8 adalah S3tc, sampel 9 adalah
