Application form for the issuance of a Border Crossing Card
A model of the application form for the issuance of a Border Crossing Card
is attached as Annex 4.

A photograph of the applicant shall be attached to the application form.

Application procedure for the issuance of
The

Border Crossing Card.

application form shal 1 be completed in duplicate, the original of

which shal 1 be retained by the Border Administration Officer or Border
Officer issuing the Border Crossing Card and the duplicate may be
submitted at the request of the counterpart Border Administration Officer.
4.

Replacement of a lost Border Crossing Card
A lost Border Crossing Card shall be replaced

upon payment of a fee of

one thousand (1000) Rupiah or one (1) Kina for each card.
5.

Traditional and Customary Border Trade by Traditional Crossers.
Lists of goods prohibited by each Party shall be exchanged

whenever

considered necessary.
6.

Traditional and Customary Practice of Hunting and Fishing
The traditional and customary practice of hunting and fishing by the
Border Residents in the Border Area shall mean hunting and fishing by the
use of traditional weapons only, such as bow and arrow and spear.

7.

Movement of Traditional Craft for Traditional and Customary Purposes
(a}.

A model of an application form for an authority under paragraph 11
of the Special Arrangements is attached as Annex 5.

(b}.

An authority for the crossing of traditional craft for traditional
and customary purposes is attached as Annex 6.

8.

Movement of Border Residents and Goods for Traditional and Customary
Purposes
The movement of Border Resident and goods other than those goods specified
in Annex A to the Special Arrangements and traditional goods,
Border Area of one

from the

Party to the Border Area of the other Party, shall be

conducted through Designated Border Stations.
9.

Consultations
Both Parties shall hold consultations for the implementation of these
Joint Directives and Guidelines if and when necessary.
