ARRANGEMENT OF AM ENDING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
THE MINISTRY OF TRADE OF TH E REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND
THE MIN ISTRY OF COMMERCE OF THE KINGDOM OF THAILAND
ON
RICE TRADE
The Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia (hereinafter referred to as the MoT)
and the Ministry of Commerce of the Kingdom of Thailand (hereinafter referred to as
the MoC), hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Parties";
RECALLING the Memorandum of Understanding between the Parties, signed in
Bangkok, on 26 December 2006, hereinafter referred to as the MoU;
CONFIRMING the intention of the Parties to extend the MoU as stated in the letter of
Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia No. 1147/M-DAG/SD/8/2011 dated 3
August 2011 and the letter of Director General of Foreign Trade on behalf of Minister of
Commerce of the Kingdom of Thailand No. 0307/3361 dated 21 September 2011.
PURSUANT to Article 3 of the MoU provides that either MoT or MoC may request in
writing for any amendment of all or any part of the MoU and if the Parties agreed, such
extension and amendment;
PURSUANT to the prevailing laws and regulations of the Parties;
HAVE AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1
INTERPRETATION OF ARRANGEMENT
This Arrangement supplements the MoU and shall form an integral part of the MoU.

ARTICLE 2
AMENDMENT
Article 1 of the MoU shall be amended by changing the word 2007 to 2011 as follows:
The Government of the Kingdom of Thailand agrees to sell and the Government of the
Republic of Indonesia agrees to buy up to 1,000,000 metric tons of Thai white rice 15%
tO 25% broken, annually from the year 2012 to 2016 subject to the production situation
in both countries and the level of international price.
In witness whereof the undersigned have signed this Arrangement.
