HUBUNGAN TINGKAT VERBAL ABUSE ORANG TUA TERHADAP

ABSTRACT
Verbal abuse is an expression that appears in the form of screaming abuse that causes
adverse emotional consequences, and effect on cognitive development because it will hinder the
child’s learning process.
This study used a descriptive design correlation and cross sectional. The study population is
preschool children (3 to 6 years) and parents of preschool children in Tk Atma Bakti, Pringapus
Village. Sampling with proportional random sampling technique obtained a sample of 35 respondents.
Data were analyzed using fisher’s exact test, obtained an average value of children who experienced
verbal abuse high at 55,6% and 44.4% with both cognitive development and less. The results showed
