INDONESIA ("Borrower") and the UNiTED ST.A.TES OF At1ERICA, act1ng through
the AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPt·tENT ("A.I.D."}.
lHTNESSETH THAT
the Borrower and A.I.D. entered into a Loan Agreement,

des_ignated as A.I.D. Loan No . 497-T-058 on May 23, 1979 ('>Loan Agreement"},
\'thereby A. I. D. agreed to 1end to the-Borrower up to seven mil Han United
States dollars ($7,000,000) V'Loan") to assist in

program to enable the provincial and lower levels of government in
Bengkulu, South Kalimantan, Nusa
Timur and East Java Provinces
ｔｾｮｧ｡ｲ＠
to i mprove thei.r capability for the identification, planm-ng, implementation,
management and evaluation of rural/area development projects and activities
t hat reach and assist the rural poor; and
the Borrower and A.I.D. by amendment dated August 15, 1979
｜ｾｅｒａｓＬ＠
amended the Loan .Agreement to add t\-10 millton United States dollars
($2,000,000} to the loan; and
WHEREAS, the Borrower and A.I.D. desire to again amend the Loan
Agreement to add two additional provinces and nine million United States
dollars ($9,000,000) to the Loan, as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, the !iorrower and A. I. D. hereby .agree as fo 11 ows:

Definition of Project, is revised to add the
provinces of West Java and Nusa Tenggara Barat.

-22. The first par_agraph of Section 3. 1 of the Loan Agreen:ent
is revised to read as follows:
"Section 3. 1. ·· The Loan. To assist the Borrm-1er to meet
the costs of car ryi_ng out the Project, Jl.• I.D., pursuant to the Foreign
Assistance Act of 1961 as arrended , agrees to lend the Borrower under the
terms of this .Agreement not to exceed eighteen mi 11 ion United States

Loan Agreement
is ratified, confirmed and continued in full force and effect in
accordance with all of its terms.
IN tHTNESS WP.EREOF, the Borrower and the United States of America,
each acting through its respective duly authorized representative, have
caused this Arrendment No. 2 to be s_igned in their names and delivered as
of the day and year first above written.
