TENTANG PEMBUKAAN HUBUNGAN DIPLOMATIK
ANTARA
PEMERINTAH REPUBLIK INDONESIA
DAN
PEMERINTAH REPUBLIK GUINEA-BISSAU
Pemerintah Republik Indonesia dan Pemerintah Republik Guinea-Bissau,
BERRHASRAT meningkatkan dan memperteguh hubungan persahabatan dan
kerjasama antara kedua negara dan rakyat atas dasar persamaan derajat, saling menghormati
kedaulatan, kemerdekaan dan integritas wilayah masing-masing, serta tidak mencampuri
urusan dalam negeri masing-masing.
DILANDASI prinsip-prinsip dan tujuan-tujuan seperti tercantum dalam Piagam
Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa dan Gerakan Non-Blok serta Konvensi Wina mengenai Hubungan
Diplomatik tahun 1961,
MEMUTUSKAN membuka hubungan diplomatik pada tingkat kedutaan besar, mulai
tanggal penandatanganan Komunike Bersama ini.
Akreditasi masing-masing Duta Besar akan diatur dalam persetujuan lebih lanjut.
DIBUAT di Jakarta pada tanggal dua belas bulan Desember tahun seribu sembilan
ratus sembilan puluh enam, dalam tiga naskah asli dalam Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Portugis
dan Bahasa Inggris, semua naskah mempunyai kekuatan hukum yang sama.

independencia e integridade territorial bem como na niio-ingerencia nos assuntos intemos,
GUIADOS pelos principios e propositos da Carta das Na\'.oes Unidas e do Movimento
dos Niio-Alinhados bem como na Conven\'.iiO de Viena de 1961 sobre Rela\'.oes Diplomaticas,
DECIDIRAM estabelecer Rela\'.oes Diplomaticas, a nivel de Embaixadores, a contar da
data da assinatura do presente Comunicado Conjunto.
A acredita\'.iio dos respectivos Embaixadores seri sujeito a um futuro acordo.
FEITO em Jakarta aos doze de Dezembro de mil novecentos e noventa e seis, em tres
copias originais em Indonesio, Portugues e Ingles, todos os textos fazendo fe.

CONCERNING
TIIE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
BETWEEN
THE GOVERNMENT OF TIIE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND
TIIE GOVERNMENT OF TIIE REPUBLIC OF GUINEA-BISSAU
The Gvemment of the Republic of Indonesia and the Gi>vemment of the Republic of
Guinea-Bissau,
DESIRING to promote and strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between the
two countries and peoples on the basis of equality, mutual respect for each other's sovereignty,
independence and territorial integrity as well as non- interference in the internal affairs of each
other.
GUIDED BY the principles and purposes of the Charter of the United Nations and the
Non-Aligned Movement as well as the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961,
HAVE DECIDED to establish diplomatic relations at the ambassadorial level, as the
date of the signing of this Joint Communique.
The accreditation of their respective ambassadors will be subject to further agreement.
DONE at Jakarta on this twelve day of December nineteen hundred ninety six, in three
original copies in Indonesian, Portuguese and English, all texts being equally authentic.
