BETWEEN
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
AND
THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF FRANCE
RELATING TO
JAKARTA WATER SUPPLY FROM CISADANE RESOURCE
The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the
Government of the Republic of France, with a view to facilitate the
development of Indonesia, agreed on the following provisions :
ARTICLE 1
A maximum amount of TWO HUNDRED THIRTY NINE MILLION FRENCH
FRANCS (239MF),
of which NINETEEN MILLION FRENCH FRANCS (19MF) for
local cost financing is put by the French Government at the
disposal of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for
financing the implementation of the JAKARTA water supply from
CISADANE resource project.
This loan is meant for financing the purchase by Indonesia
of French goods and services and local cost.
ARTICLE II
This loan shall be amortized in 36 half-yearly equal and
successive instalments, the first one falling due 90 months after
the end of the calendar half year during which drawings have been
made.
The interest shall be payable every calendar half year
a rate of 3,5% per annum.

Besides, usual rules will apply to COFACE premium to the
portion not financed by the French Treasury funds.
A convention of implementation between the financial
institutions designated by the French Government and acting on its
behalf, and the Ministry of Finance of the Government of the
Republic of Indonesia on the other part,

modalities of use and repayment of this loan.
ARTICLE III
The currency used for accounting and payment shall be the
French franc.

The inclusion of the contract within the framework of
present protocol shall be decided by the competent French
Indonesian Authorities.

Nevertheless,

- the transportation is undertaken under a bill of lading issued by
a French shipowner and supported by a certification issued by the
French Board of merchant marine ;
- the insurance is contracted with a French company.
ARTICLE VI
Any party may proceed to undertake post evaluation of the
project financed under this protocol provided the existence of a
prior information formalised by an exchange of letters between the
French Economic and Commercial Counsellor to the French Embassy in
Indonesia and BAPPENAS.
Audit results will be forwarded to the
other party.
ARTICLE VII
The last date for signing the contract financed under the
present protocol shall be on November 30, 1988.
No drawing shall be made for the credit

mis par le gouvernement fran9ais a la disposition du gouvernement
de la Republique d'Indonesie pour financer la realisation du
