The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Gover'nment of the

WHEREAS the Parties are desirous of further expanding and developing
bilateral reiations.and cooperation in economic in general, particularly in trade fields ;
WHEREAS taking into account their existing Trade Agreement signed on 24th
January 2004 ;
REFERRING TO the prevailing laws and regulations in respective countries;
NOW, therefore, the Parties have agreed as follows:

To establish bilateral Comprehensive Trade and Economic Partnership (CTEP)
that would eventually lead to a bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
