PASAL I

PASAL II
1.

Warganegara-war1anegara dan peruaahaan-perusahaan

salah satu Pihak Jang berada d1w1laJah P1hak jang 1a1nnJa,
akan d1ber1.ka.n perlakuan Jang tidak kurang daripada jang
diberi.kan kepada warganegara-varganegara dan peruaahaanperusahaan negara ketiga manapun djuga, mengena1 segala soal
berhubungan dengan pembebanan padJak, hak untuk mengadjukan
persoalan kemuka pengadilan, hak-hak rtas m111k, 1.kut aertanja
didalam badan-badan hukum, dan umumnja penjelenggaraan segala
djen1s kegiatan perusahaan serta usaha perseorangan.

ARTICLI I


Natiooala of either Party shall be permitted to enter
the territory of the other Party in accordance with the
provisions or the laws and regOlations of such other Party
and shell be accorded treatment no leas favourable than
that aooorded to nationals or any third country with raspeot
to all matters relating to their entry into, their sojourn,
tra.el and residence within, and their departure from, th•
territory of such other Party.
ARTICLB II

Nationals and companies or either Party shall be

accorded, within the territory ot the other Party, treatment no lesa favourable than that accorded to nationals and
compallies ot any third country with respect to all msttera
pertaintne to the lttvying of taxes, access to the courts,
rights to property, participation in juridical entitles,
and generally the conduct or all kinds or business and

professional activities.

ARTICLE III

ARTICLE V

l.

1'8tionals and companies of either Party shall be

accorded treatment no less favourable than that accorded
to nati onals and companies of any third country with respect
to payments, remittances and transfers or funds er f i nenci6l

instruments between the territories of the two Parties as
well as between the territories of the other Party end of
any third country,

Neither Party shall impose restrictions or prohibitions

on the importation of any product of the other Party, or on
the exportation

any product to the territory of the

other Party, unless the importation of the like product
of, or the exportation of the like product to, all third
countries is similarly restricted or prohibited.

rights and obligations that either Party has or may have

At the time of signing the Treety of Amity end

(hereinatt.er referred to as "the Treaty"). the undersigned Plenipotentiaries, duly authorized by their
respective Governments, have further agreed on the

neither Party ehall be entitled to claim the benefit ot
those advantages relating to matters concerll.lng passports
and visas which the other Party bas accorded or may hereafter accord to nationals ot any third country by virtue

ot 8pecial agreements on a basis of reciprocity.
2.

Nothing in Article I shall be construed 80 as to

entitle Japan to claim the benefit ot those advantages
tracUtionally accorded by the Republic or Indonesia to the
Citizens ot the State or Siugapore.
