Plan of Action for The Implementation of
The Declaration on Strategic Partnership
Between The Federative Republic of Brazil
and The Repub1ic of Indonesia

Recalling the visi ts of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva
to Indonesia and of President Susi lo Bambang Yudhoyono to
Brazil in 2008 ;
Stressing the common interest of the two countries to broaden
the
scope and intensify bilateral cooperation in the
political,
economic,
trade,
social,
cultural,
academic,
scientific, technological and environmental fields, as well
as expanding exchanges at all levels of society;

Underlining the Declaration on the Strategic Partnership
between the Republic of Indonesla and the Federative Republic
oi Brazil signed in Brasilia on November 18th, 2008 ;
Indonesia and Brazil have decided to launch a Plan of Act i on
for the Implementation of the Declaration on the Strategic
Partnership which provides a comprehensive outline of the
ways and means to substantiate the framework for cooperation
established by the Declaration, which shall have a period of
five years and shall be reviewed after three years, unless
otherwise agreed upon . In this context , and pursuant to the
prevailing l aws and regulations in each country ,
the
Federative Republ ic of Brazil p.nd the Republic of Indonesia
will pursue the following joint measures and actions :
1. Strengthening Bilateral Dialogue Mechanisms
1.1 National Mechanisms

1 .1.1 To assign to the Minis try of Foreign Affairs in both
countries the development of a data base of government
officials in all sectors with portfolios concerning relations

between Indonesia and Brazil;
1 . 1 . 2 To promote national dialogue involving government
officials,
academicians,
business
community,
regional
leaders, and other societal groups as a means of developing
ideas and policies for strengthening and deepening the
relations between Indonesia and Brazil.
1 .2 Bilateral Dialogue Mechanisms

1 . 2 . 1 To enhance the regular high- level bilateral exchanges
