Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Motivasi kerja dan prokrastinasi
pada pegawai negeri sipil Pemkot Salatiga. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 98 pegawai yang
terpilih melalui purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan
Skala Motivasi kerja yang terdiri dari 30 item ( = 0,882). Prokrastinasi diukur dengan skala
prokrastinasi, terdiri dari 40 item ( = 0,936). Hubungan antara motivasi kerja dan
prokrastinasi diuji dengan korelasi Pearson’s Product Moment. Hasil penelitian pada 98
pegawai menunjukkan koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh sebesar -0,674 dengan nilai
signifikansi 0,000, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif yang
signifikan antara motivasi kerja dengan prokrastinasi pada pegawai negeri sipil Pemkot
Salatiga, artinya semakin tinggi motivasi kerja maka semakin rendah tingkat
prokrastinasinya, sebaliknya semakin rendah motivasi kerja maka semakin tinggi
prokrastinasinya.

The Relation Between Work Motivation With Procrastination
For Civil Servants In The Municipality Salatiga

The aim of this study is to find out the relationship between work motivation and
procrastination on civil servants in Salatiga. This study was conducted towards 98 employee
that were selected by purposive sampling. The data was collected using work motivation
scale that consisted of 30 items ( = .882). Procrastination was measured with a scale of
procrastination, consisting of 40 items ( = .936). The relationship between work motivation
and procrastination tested with Pearson's product moment correlation. The results on 98
employee showed the obtained correlation coefficient is at -0,674 with a significance value of

0.000, , thus it can be concluded that there is a significant negative correlation between work
motivation with the procrastination on civil servants in Salatiga, means that the higher the
level of work motivation, the lower the procrastination, conversely the lower the level of
work motivation, the higher the procrastination.
