ABSTRACT

This research will be held on National junior high school 1 Teras has the main
objective that the students result on Informatics and technology subject (TIK) would
improve significantly. The only problem found on this school is the teacher keeps on
using conventional methods which will inhibit the student results on Informatics and
technology subject (TIK). To achieve a purpose of this research the author applies peers
tutor method to improve the results of the study. This research undergoes by the
classroom-act using 9th grade students of on National junior high school 1 Teras. After
peer tutor method done students result of on Informatics and technology subject (TIK)
increases compared with the previous method which was less than perfect. The

conclusion of this research is that the application of peer tutor method had being able to
improve the students results especially at Informatics and technology subject (TIK).

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata
pelajaran TIK di SMPN 1 Teras. Permasalahan yang ada di SMPN 1 Teras adalah guru
masih menggunakan metode konvensional yang kurang efektif sehingga berdampak pada
hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran TIK rendah.Untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian
maka penelitian ini menerapkan metode tutor sebaya dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan
hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan
subyek penelitian siswa kelas 9E SMPN 1 Teras. Setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran
menggunakan metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran
TIK mengalami peningkatan dari penerapan metode konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian
ini adalah penerapan metode tutor sebaya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada
mata pelajaran TIK.
