57 comes to our country, especially in this era of globalization. There are so many new cultures that come to our country. We have to choose which culture that is appropriate to our country. Therefore, it does not make us forget our moral value from our ancestors that have been built since many years ago. Not only filtering the culture, this novel can teach the students to have a good self-regulation, so that they do not get influenced easily when they face some bad things in their environment. It shows that analyzing this novel can be very important for both teacher and students, especially on the culture that appears in the novel.

C. Suggestions

The suggestions in this thesis aimed for further researchers and for the implementation in teaching and learning activity. Novel The Great Gatsby has a very interesting culture background. Besides, there are so many characters in this novel that have an important role in the story. Therefore, the writer suggests to future researchers to find other culture that appears also because of the First World War using a character that can prove the culture that has been found at the story or the relationship. The other suggestions are aimed for the teaching and learning activity. This novel is really good to be the reference for studying language. It has a great moral value and it connects to history after the First World War, so it can improve the students ‘ way of thinking.
