vocabulary mastery, they had problem to decode a word and a sentence. Students read the text very slowly. Besides, they could not make inference correctly and the
students had problems in working memory.
c. Questionnaire Report
The researcher also employed questionnaire to the students for supporting the result of the observation and interview. The questions in questionnaire were
designed almost same with the question in interview to students. It is aimed to get deeper understanding of students’ problems and their opinions in learning reading
comprehension by using herringbone and as the proponent proof of the result interview to the students. Questionnaire was given to the whole students in class
XI IPA 1 which consisted of 33 students.

However, based on the questionnaire filled by the students, the researcher could explain as follows.
Based on the data number one, there were 45 students in XI IPA1 class that herringbone helped them to comprehend the text. Besides, there were 55
students argued that herringbone could not help them to comprehend the text. It can be concluded that most of students agreed that herringbone helped them to
comprehend the text. Referring the data number two, there were 85 had problem in learning reading
comprehension by using herringbone, while 15 from the amount of the students did not have problem in learning reading comprehension by using herringbone. It
can be concluded that majority of the students had problem in learning reading comprehension by using herringbone.
