Bimbingan Belajar Al-Quran (BBQ) merupakan bentuk kegiatan diluar perkuliahan yang wajib
diikuti oleh seluruh mahasiswa muslim Universitas Lampung. Kegiatan ini merupakan syarat
untuk dapat lulus mata kuliah umum Pendidikan Agama Islam. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah
untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Quran mahasiswa muslim Universitas Lampung.
BBQ dengan berbagai kegiatannya berusaha untuk membantu mahasiswa muslim Universitas
Lampung mempelajari Al-Quran. Kewajiban mengikuti BBQ ini menimbulkan berbagai respon
dari mahasiswa muslim Universitas Lampung. Bagaimana mahasiswa merespon tentang adanya
kegiatan Bimbingan Belajar Al-Quran (BBQ) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca AlQuran merupakan rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui respon mahasiswa mengenai adanya kegiatan Bimbingan Belajar AlQuran (BBQ) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Quran.
Tipe penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan
pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik proporsional random
sampling dimana yang menjadi responden adalah mahasiswa muslim reguler FISIP Universitas
Lampung angkatan 2006-2009. Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini 93 mahasiswa. Teknik
pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui kuesioner serta wawancara.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan BBQ mendapat respon yang baik dari
mahasiswa muslim reguler FISIP Universitas Lampung angkatan 2006-2009. Berdasarkan
penelitian ini, mahasiswa menunjukkan bahwa mereka menyukai mengikuti kegiatan BBQ, dan
hal ini memperlihatkan respon yang baik mengenai kegiatan BBQ dilihat dari aspek afektif.
Kemudian dilihat dari aspek kognitif, kegiatan BBQ memberikan peningkatan kemampuan
membaca Al-Quran bagi mahasiswa. Tujuan dari kegiatan BBQ ini dapat dikatakan telah cukup
berhasil. Selain itu komunikasi kelompok yang terjadi dalam kegiatan BBQ ternyata cukup
efektif dalam membantu BBQ mencapai tujuannya. Hal ini karena dalam komunikasi kelompok
setiap anggota dapat berinteraksi secara langsung, dan juga semakin sering pertemuan diadakan
maka akan semakin meningkatkan rasa saling memiliki pada setiap anggota terhadap
kelompoknya. Selain itu ternyata kegiatan BBQ juga mampu memotivasi mahasiswa untuk lebih
baik dan rajin dalam beribadah.

Al-Quran Learning Mentoring (BBQ) is a form of activity outside the mandatory lectures
attended by all the Muslim students of Lampung University. This activity is a requirement to be
able to pass the general subject of Islamic Religious Education. The purpose of this activity is to
enhance the ability to read Al-Quran Muslim students of Lampung University. BBQ with a
variety of activities trying to help Muslim students of Lampung University studying the AlQuran. Obligation to follow this BBQ generate various responses from the Muslim students of
Lampung University. How do students respond about the activities of Al-Quran Tutoring (BBQ)
in improving the ability to read the Qur'an is the formulation at problem in this research. The
purpose of this research is to study the response of the students about the activities of Al-Quran
Tutoring (BBQ) in improving the ability to read the Al- Quran.
This type of research used in this research is descriptive research with quantitative approach. The
sampling technique using proportional random sampling technique in which respondents are
regular Muslim student FISIP Lampung University from 2006 to 2009. The number of samples
in this study 93 students. Data collection techniques used through questionnaires and interviews.
The results of this study indicate that the activities of the BBQ got good response from the
Muslim students regularly FISIP Lampung University from 2006 to 2009. Based on this study,
students indicated that they liked to follow events on the BBQ, and this shows a good response
on the activities of BBQ visits from affective Then viewed from the aspect of cognition, activities
of BBQ provides enhanced ability to read the Qur'an for students. The purpose of this BBQ
activities can be said has been quite successful. In addition the group communication occurs in
the activities of the BBQ was quite effective in helping BBQ achieve its objectives. This is
because in the communications group each member can interact directly, and also more frequent
meetings are held it will further enhance the sense of belonging to each member of the group In
addition it is also capable of BBQ events to motivate students better and more diligent in
worship.
