The company has a conflict with
the surrounding
community at
Pamela Estate that supply to the Sei
Mangke Mill. Community has claimed,
occupied and
planted in the land for 352.79
hectares. certification scope Sisumut
Mill The company has identified
and found
that area
occupied is in the territory of the concession company
within HGU company.
The company has a plan to solve the problems with two
2 ways ie: some area will be brought to the court and
some land will be excluded from HGU and release to the
community The information will be address
on partial certification scheme.
Batu Godang – Sumuran
village There are 165 hectares of
land belonging
to the
company that occupied by the
Sumuran village
community , Batu Godang Land planted with rubber
and palm trees that have been fruitful. The company
takes back from 128 farmers but compensation is not paid
in
accordance with
the expectations of farmers.
The Company
has negotiated three times, the
last date of February 21, 2011. The company already
offers
indemnity compensation plants above
the standard set of local government but the people
did not agree and asked far above the standard offered.
The company has made a time bound to resolve the conflict and
targeted in 2012 completed Conclusion

There was
a conflict
between community and the company
at Batugodang
Village. The company has paid the compensation for
farmers via representative people but the mechanism in
appointing
and payment
methods to
the representative person was
found not clear. Some of the people
found were
not received
yet for
the compensation
The company re-identified the farmers to ensure the
people involved has been identified completely. The
company has invited the related people and make the
agreement with them for the right compensation for the
right people. The has the evidence of the list of the
people involved and completed with the the sign

Not all labor contractor has
received socialization of sexual
harassment. This
is evident
from the
attendance list
socialization, for
example: In Aek Nabara Utara estate, where 724
employees of contractors data as of 11102011
has
345 people
registered already

The company has not set a

contract and information from contractor, there is
no clause which requires that the contractor meets
the requirements of labor legislation.
