ABSTRAK
Zakiah. Hubungan Sikap Mahasiswa Terhadap Mata Kuliah Pendidikan Agama
dan Kemandirian Belajar Dengan Hasil Belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam Pada Mahasiswa
Universitas Sumatera Utara Tahun Akademik 2004/2005. Program Pascasarjana,
Universitas Negeri Medan, Juni 2005.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara (a) sikap siswa
terhadap mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dengan hasil belajar (b) kemandirian belajar
dengan hasil belajar PAI, (c) sikap mahasiswa terhadap kuliah PAI dan kemandirian belajar
secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar
Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa muslim Universitas
Sumatera Utara (USU) dengan jumlah 380 orang. Sampel diambil secara
Portional random sampling, dengan menggunakan rumus Cochran diperoleh ukuran
sampel 76 orang. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah sikap mahasiswa terhadap mata
kuliah PAI, kemandirian belajar, dan hasil belajar PAI mahasiswa . Sikap mahasiswa
terhadap mata kuliah PAI diukur dengan tes skala sikap mengenai mata kuliah PAI,
kemandirian belajar diukur dengan kuesioner skala Likrrt, sedangkan hasil belajar PAI
diukur dengan tes hasil belajar mata kuliah PAI. Hasil ujicoba instrumen menunjukkan bahwa
dari 40 butir tes skala sikap mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah PAI, yang valid berjumlah 35, dan
yang tidak valid 5 dengan reabilitas r = 0,877. Hasil ujicoba 40 butir kuesioner kemandirian
belajar, yang valid berjumlah 33 butir dan yang tidak valid 7 butir dengan nilai reliabilitas r =
0,848. Ujicoba 40 butir hasil belajar PAI, yang valid berjumlah 34 butir dan yang tidak valid 6
butir dengan nilai reliabilitas r = 0,863.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, pertama ada hubungan yang positif antara
sikap mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah PAI (angka korelasi sebesar ry.1 = 0,413 yang teruji
secara signifikan pada = 5% di mana t h i t = 3,90 > t t a b = 1,99). sumbangan efektif
variabel sikap mahasiswa terhadap hasil belajar PAI sebesar 1%; kedua, ada hubungan yang
positif antara kemandirian belajar terhadap hasil belajar PAI (angka korelasi sebesar R y12 =
0,659 yang teruji secara signifikan pada
= 5% di mana thit = 7,54 > ttab = 1,99).
Sumbangan efektif variabel kemandirian ar terhadap hasil belajar PAI sebesar 29,90%; ketiga,
ada hubungan yang positif antara sikap mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah PAI dan kemandirian
belajar secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar PAI (angka korelasi sebesar Ry12 = 0,725
yang teruji secara signifikan pada
= 5% di mana F(5%)(2,73) = 40,36 > F(5%)(2,73) = 3,12).
Sumbangan efektif variabel sikap mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah PAI dan kemandirian belajar
secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar PAI sebesar 52,51%.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar PAI mahasiswa USU dipengaruhi
oleh sikapnya terhadap mata kuliah PAI. Hasil belajar PAI adalah salah aspek kognitif yang
melandasi seseorang berbuat dalam hal ini adalah malan nilai-nilai Islam, seperti tekad
belajar dan bekerja keras sebagai rasa menegakkan shalat lima waktu sebagai cara mengikat
hubungan dengan Allah dan berpakaian dengan menutup aurat sebagai bukti mengikuti sunnah
Rasul wujud identitas Islam. Pengamalan itu akan semakin tertanam dengan kuat pada siswa
USU apabila sikap terhadap mata kuliah PAI diarahkan ke hal-hal yang positif. Oleh sebab
itu upaya memberikan contoh-contoh yang baik kepada siswa tentang penjabaran nilainilai Islam baik dari segi perkataan, perbuatan, sikap adalah usaha yang baik untuk menumbuhkan
dan mengembangkan sikap siswa terhadap mata kuliah PAI yang lebih positif. Kemudian Hasil
belajar PAI dipengaruhi oleh kemandirian belajar mahasiswa. Kemampuan mahasiswa menyerap
pengetahuan tidak sama, hal ini tergantung dari cara mahasiswa . Mahasiswa yang tidak
selalu menggantungkan upaya pada orang lain lebih berhasil dalam belajar sebab kemandirian
dalam belajar menuntunnya bekerja keras tidak merasa puas dengan apa yang sudah
diperolehnya. Oleh sebab itu, tenaga pengajar berperan besar dalam membiasakan
kemandirian belajar siswa, misalnya melatih mahasiswa menggunakan berbagai sumber
informasi dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas kuliah, berpraktek di lapangan untuk menelaah
secara langsung masalah yang dihadapi dan sekaligus mencari solusinya. Dengan latihan
langsung diharapkan kemandirian mahasiswa akan terbimbing dengan baik, sehingga
meningkatkan kemandirian belajarnya.

ABSTRACT
Zakiah, The students university attitude relationship to the Islamic education subject in
North Sumatra University students Academic Year 2004/2005, ate Program, state University
Medan, June, 2005.
The goal of this is to know the relationship between (a) the students de to the Islamic
education subject (PAI) with study product PAI, (b) self study with study product PAI, (c) The
students attitude to the PAI subject elf study together PAI study product.
The population of this research is all of Moslem student of North Sumatra
University (USU) totally 380 persons. The samples were taken by propotional random
sampling, is received 76 samples measure by using Cohran formula. The variable of this
research is the students attitude to the subject, self study and PAI study product is measured with
attitude scale test of PAI subject, self study is measured with the Likert scale questionnaire, with
PAI study product is measured with PAI subject study product test. The result of instrument test
saw that from 40 points scale test of the student de to the PAI subject, that 35 are valid,
and 5 are unvalid, with reability r = 0,877. Test result of 40 points self study questionnaire,
that 33 point are valid and 7 points are unvalid, with reliability value r = 0,848. Test 0 points are
valid and 7 points are unvalid, with reliability value and 6 is are unvalid with reliability value r
= 0,863.
The good of this research show that, first there is a positive relationship between the students
attitude to the PAI subject (the correlation mark is ry.1 = 0,413, that significant rested on =
5%, that t hi t = 3,90 > t t ab = 1,99. Effective contribution variable of students attitude to the
PAI study product 2,61%; The second there is a positive relationship between self study to the PAI
study product (correlation mark is ry.2 = 0,659 that significant on = 5% that thit = 7,54 > ttab =
1,99. Effective contribution variable of self study to the PAI study product is 29,90%; the third
there is a positive relationship between the students attitude to the PAI subject and self study
together with study product (correlation mark is Ry12 =0,725 that significant tested on = 5% that
F (5%) (2,73) = 40,36 > F (5%) (2,73) = 3,12. Effective contribution able of the students attitude to
the PAI subject and self study together PAI study product in 52,51%.
This research result show that PAI study product of North Sumatra University students
are influenced by attitude of PAI subject is one of naive aspect that some one based to do
something in this case is devotion Islamic values, as study will and work hard as a solemnly (jihad)
sense, to prayer (sholat) five times as a method to bind the relationship with Allah SWT, and
wear cloth to close all part of body (aurat) as a realize to follows sunnah Rasul and reflextion of
Islamic identity. That devotion will more hold

seriously to the students of North Sumatera University, if the attitude to the subject is
direct to the positive things. Therefore giving good examples effort to the students about
Islamic values explanation either speaking, action and attitude aspect is a good effort to increase
and develope students de to the more positively PAI subject. Then PAI study product is also enced
by the students self study. The students ability to receive ledge is not similar, this case is
depend to the students study methods. students are not always effort depend to the other person more
successful study because independent in study, it hope to work hard and not satisfied what has
receives. Therefore the lectures / education staffs have big effort to habit the students self study,
for example to exercise the student to many information resources to finish lecture duties, field
practice to se the problem which is fond directly and also to find it solution. By direct
exercise is hoped the student independent will guided perfectly, can develop their independent
study.

Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar PAI mahasiswa USU dipengaruhi

pengetahuan tidak sama, hal ini tergantung dari cara mahasiswa . Mahasiswa yang tidak
selalu menggantungkan upaya pada orang lain lebih berhasil dalam belajar sebab kemandirian
dalam belajar menuntunnya bekerja keras tidak merasa puas dengan apa yang sudah
diperolehnya. Oleh sebab itu, tenaga pengajar berperan besar dalam membiasakan
kemandirian belajar siswa, misalnya melatih mahasiswa menggunakan berbagai sumber
informasi dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas kuliah, berpraktek di lapangan untuk menelaah

langsung diharapkan kemandirian mahasiswa akan terbimbing dengan baik, sehingga
