The writer concluded that translation was the element that can be easily learnt by them. It proved that translation was the area which students concerned about. So, they got good scores better than the other elements.

4.5 Interpretation of the Finding

Based on the finding, the writer concludes that “Fire Coming Out of a Monkey’s Head” song can improve students’ motivation in learning vocabulary. They learn vocabulary from listening to “Fire Coming Out of a Monkey’s Head” song. By listening to the song for several times, their motivation improves and they can understand the words in the lyric of the song. They recognize the lyric and they can enjoy the teaching and learning process. They can understand the meaning, improve their synonym and antonym knowledge, and they can also pronounce the words correctly. Some respondents said that learning vocabulary by using song was their first time. So, they tried to understand the new words that they had never known, but they said that learning vocabulary by using song was very interesting. This implied that English song can influence many aspects in their second language acquisition, especially motivation in learning vocabulary.

4.6 Implication of the Finding

The students’ vocabulary test scores from pre-cycle 1 test to final cycle 2 test indicate their vocabulary understanding toward narrative text. The scores which are obtained by the students seem followed by their questionnaire answers. So, it can be concluded that using 61 English song, especially “Fire Coming Out of a Monkey’s Head” song affects students’ scores in vocabulary test. It can also improve their motivation in learning English because English song is considered as a fun activity in teaching and learning process. Music is also a universal thing. Almost every person in this world loves music and always listens to the music everyday. Some of them also think that music is the part of their lives. They enjoy the beat, the melodies and the words contain in the lyric as well. They said that by listening to music, their motivation was also improved. However, some people, especially students don’t want to listen to the music, in this case English song. Students who learn English as the foreign language prefer to listen to their mother language song than listening to English song which is extremely hard to understand, and the words are very strange for them. Listening to something which not understandable is futile. That is why they think that listen to the English song is useless and it decreases their motivation too. The writer knows it well. Based on their reason towards English song, the writer asks them to listen repeatedly to this universal thing which is considered as one of fun things in this world. At the first time, they didn’t understand the words at all and had a little motivation. After they listened it several times, they could improve their understanding and their motivation was improved. It proves that if they practice more and more understanding the words, they can achieve something. The writer concludes that English song is a good thing to do in learning new words. “Fire Coming Out of a Monkey’s Head” song is chosen by the writer because it has a lot of new words to learn, and it has narrative theme inside it it can make the students happy in learning process. For the first time, many of them know nothing about the song. They seem 62 confused because the lyric is very long, compared to the other song that they ever heard before. Based on their questionnaire, students’ achievement in final cycle 2 test could be predicted. In question number 1, students were asked about their experience in learning English for the first time. Based on the answer, they learned English from Elementary School grade 1-3. So, the writer concluded that they had experienced a lot of things in learning it. Nevertheless, in the 63 question number 3, they said that learning English was very difficult. They also had difficulties in translating the words from English to Indonesian language. Based on the questionnaire again, the writer found that the students seemed desperated about this language and they thought that learning English is not fun at all.Fortunately, the writer brought a song that could cure it with a lot of fun. In question number 6, the writer asked them whether they liked English song or not. The answer was not bad. Some of them said that they loved to hear English song, but few of them thought that English song was difficult to understand. Some of them also gave very pleasant responses to this question. So, it was a valuable opportunity for the writer to introduce the learning strategy in teaching English by using song as the medium. By using song, they could learn English properly, especially in vocabulary. Their motivation could also improve during the lesson question number 11. For the question about whether song should be used as the medium for teaching English or not, they answered in a positive way. It proved that by using song as the medium, they could understand the words well. They could also get excellent motivation in learning English. It was very wonderful if they started to love English because of this kind of medium.
