edit it with your own research, ideas, and
school information. The words in green are
really just place-holders. Please replace with
your own words. Once you’re done, send
your finished presentation to
SVRCStaff@netday.org. Maybe yours will get
chosen as a best example for our website!
Thank you and good luck!

►Keep

the school computer lab
open after school and on
weekends.

Rationale
► Having

the computer lab open after-school and
on weekends will allow more students to use
technology to complete their school work or to
learn new things.
► Many students don’t have computers at home.
► There is not enough time during school to
finish all that we want to do.
► Having more access to computers will help us
more efficiently complete our schoolwork.

Our School
Technology Plan
Our school technology plan includes the
following objective:
“Students will have access to technology as a work
tool and a learning tool to develop skills and
attitudes necessary to think independently and
to function confidently and productively in our
technologically changing society.”

Operating the computer on weekends and
after-school well help the school achieve this
objective.

About our survey:
► We set up a table outside the cafeteria for 5
days in a row.
► Our survey included 75 seventh and eighth
graders.
► The survey had 10 multiple-choice questions.

Obstacles

We are aware that there are several
obstacles.
The #1 obstacle is adult supervision. We are
working with the Parent Teacher Association
(PTA) to see if they can provide volunteers
for a limited number of hours per week. Mrs.
Smith has volunteered to coordinate the
schedule and post hours on the door.
