ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Nutrisi Ternak
Ruminansia dan Kimia Makanan Ternak, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas
Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Sumedang. Bulan Februari 2013. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Tingkat Penggunaan Kromium (Cr)
Organik dalam Ransum Sapi Perah terhadap Kecernaan Bahan Kering dan
Bahan Organik (in vitro). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah
eksperimental menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat
macam perlakuan sebagai berikut : R0 = Kontrol, R1 = 1,5 ppm, R2 = 3,0
ppm, dan R3 = 4,5 ppm Kromium (Cr) organik. Setiap perlakuan diulang
sebanyak lima kali. Data yang diperoleh diuji menggunakan metode uji
jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian
kromium organik sebanyak 1,5 ppm sudah menurunkan kecernaan bahan
kering ransum, sedangkan kecernaan bahan organik menurun setelah

pemberian kromium organik sebanyak 3,0 ppm ke dalam ransum.

ORGANIC MATTER DIGESTIBILITY

ABSTRACT

This research was conducted on the Laboratory of Ruminant Nutrition
and Feed Chemical, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University,
Jatinangor, Sumedang. It was held on February 2013. The aim of this
research is to find out the effect of level of chromuim (Cr) organic usage in
dairy cattle’s ration towards the digestibility of dry and organic matter. This

research used complete randomized design (CRD) as the experimental
method. In this exeriment there are four treatment, they are : R0 = control, R1
= 1, 5 ppm, R2 = 3,0 ppm, and R3 = 4,5 ppm of chromium (Cr) organic. Each
treatments were repeated in five times. The data was obtain by using
Duncan’s multiple range test. The result showed that the use level of 4,5 ppm
of organic chromium in dairy cattle rations low the dry matter digestibility,
of the rations, but lower the organic matter digestibility of the rations. while
the provision of 1.5 ppm can provide the highest organic matter digestibility.
