INDONESIAN FORESTRY CERTIFICATION COOPERATION (IFCC)

1. Introduction

  In October 2011, Indonesian stakeholders interested in sustainable forest management have established an organisation named Perkumpulan Kerjasama Sertifikasi Kehutanan (KSK) / Indonesian Forestry Certification Cooperation (IFCC) aiming at the developing and governing an Indonesian forest certification scheme.

  Such a scheme should satisfy an international expectations for conformity as defined by organisations such as ISO (International Standardisation Organisation) and IAF (International Accreditation Forum) as well as expectations for sustainable forest management and for forest certification schemes defined by key customers’, public and private and international frameworks for recognition of forest certification schemes (e.g. the PEFC Council).

  1. Pendahuluan Pada Oktober 2011, stakeholder Indonesia yang peduli dengan pengelolaan hutan lestari telah mendirikan sebuah organisasi bernama Perkumpulan Kerjasama Sertifikasi Kehutanan (KSK) / Indonesian Forestry Certification Cooperation (IFCC) yang bertujuan mengembangkan skema sertifikasi hutan di Indonesia.

  Skema ini harus memenuhi harapan internasional untuk kesesuaian sebagaimana yang ditetapkan oleh organisasi seperti ISO (International Standardization Organization), IAF (International Accreditation Forum) serta harapan untuk pengelolaan hutan lestari dan skema sertifikasi hutan yang didefinisikan oleh pelanggan kunci, publik dan swasta, serta kerangka internasional untuk pengakuan skema sertifikasi hutan (misalnya Dewan PEFC).

  The development of the above mentioned standards will be governed by the IFCC standard setting procedures (IFCC PD 1001:2012) and will be based on an open, transparent, multi-stakeholder and consensus based process.

  The standards will be developed by the IFCC Standardisation Committee that provides for balanced representation of stakeholders in sustainable forest management. The objective of the Standarisation Committee is to reach a
