PERANAN MAKROZOOBENTHOS SEBAGAI
BIOINDIKATOR KUALITAS AIR DI SUNGAI AEK PAHU
HUTAMOSU, AEK PAHU TOMBAK DAN BATANG TORU
ABSTRAK
Penelitian tentang Peranan Makrozoobenthos Sebagai Bioindikator Kualitas Air di
Sungai Aek Pahu Hutamosu, Aek Pahu Tombak, dan Batang Toru telah dilakukan
pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Mei 2013. Sampel diambil dari empat stasiun
pengamatan, dan setiap stasiun dilakukan tiga kali ulangan. Titik pengambilan
sampel ditentukan dengan metode Purposive Random Sampling. Sampel diambil
dengan menggunakan Surber-net. Hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 2 filum
yaitu Arthropoda dan Mollusca, 2 kelas yaitu Insekta dan Gastropoda, 8 ordo yang
terdiri dari Coleoptera, Diptera, Ephemeroptera, Hemiptera, Odonata,
Plecoptera, Trichoptera, dan Mesogastropoda. Nilai Kepadatan tertinggi terdapat
pada stasiun 1 dari spesies larva Atherix sp. adalah 74,07 ind/m2, 21,74%, 100%.
Nilai indeks keanekaragaman tertinggi sebesar 2,78 terdapat pada stasiun 3. Nilai
indeks keanekragaman terendah sebesar 2,46 terdapat pada stasiun 1. Nilai indeks
keseragaman tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun 2 sebesar 0,92 dan yang terendah
terdapat pada stasiun 1 sebesar 0,78. Kualitas air berdasarkan indeks famili biotik
Sungai Aek Pahu Hutamosu, Aek Pahu Tombak dan Batang Toru tergolong
kualitas air sedang sampai baik sekali. Uji statistik korelasi pearson faktor fisik
kimia menunjukkan korelasi searah pada Penetrasi Cahaya, TSS, DO, pH, BOD
dan Mn. Kualitas air berdasarkan sifat fisik kimia menurut PP No.82 Tahun 2001
Sungai Aek Pahu Hutamosu, Aek Pahu Tombak dan Batang Toru tergolong
kualitas air baik sampai kualitas baik sekali.

ABSTRACT
The research about The Rule of Macrozoobenthos as Water Quality Bioindicator
in Aek Pahu Hutamosu, Aek Pahu Tombak and Batang Toru River was done from
January to March 2013. Samples were taken from four observation station and
were performed three times for each stations. Sample point was determined by
using Purposive Random Sampling. Samples were taken by using Surber-net. The
research showed 2 phylums of Arthropoda and Mollusca, 2 classes of Insecta and
Gastropoda, 8 ordos of Coleoptera, Diptera, Ephemeroptera, Hemiptera,
Odonata, Plecoptera, Trichoptera, and Mesogastropoda. Highest density of first
station was genera larvae Atherix sp., about 74,07 ind/m2. Highest diversity index
value was at third stations, about 2,78, and the lowest index value about 2,46 was
at first station. Highest equitabilitas index about 0,92 was at second station and
the lowest about 0,78 was at first station. Highest family biotic index about 5,17
was at third station. whereas the lowest about 4,19 was at fourth station. The
Pearson Correlation statistic test showed that Light Penetration, TSS, DO, pH,
BOD 5 , and Mn have direct correlation with index of diversity. According to PP
No. 82 year 2001, water quality of river are in good quality.
