PENGARUH MOTIVASI DAN PERAN PEMUDA TERHADAP
PENGEMBANGAN USAHA KECIL DAN MENENGAH (UKM)
DI KABUPATEN BATUBARA
ABSTRAK
Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) merupakan salah satu sektor yang
memiliki peran penting dalam pertumbuhan serta peningkatan perekonomian
daerah. Keberadaan dan perkembangan UKM diharapkan mampu untuk
mengatasi masalah pengangguran yang saat ini menjadi permasalahan besar bagi
Bangsa Indonesia. Kabupaten Batubara sebagai salah satu Kabupaten yang
memiliki sumber daya alam dan juga sumber daya manusia terutama pemuda
diharapakan dapat mendorong UKM untuk terus maju dan berkembang. Pemuda
sebagai salah garda terdepan pengembangan UKM di Kabupaten Batubara
diharapkan mampu untuk terus termotivasi dalam memajukan UKM. Penelitian
ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi dan peran pemuda terhadap
pengembangan UKM di Kabupaten Batubara.
Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah deskriptif
kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel 88 orang responden. Populasi dan sampel dalam
penelitian ini adalah pelaku UKM yang ada di Kabupaten Batubara berusia 16 >50 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui data primer (kuesioner dan survei)
dan sekunder.
Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah : Pengaruh Motivasi dan peran
pemuda secara simultan signifikan terhadap pengembangan usaha kecil menengah
(UKM) di Kabupaten Batubara. Uji statistik secara parsial menyatakan variabel
prestasi, variabel kekuasaan berpengaru positif signifikan terhadap pengembangan
usaha kecil menengah (UKM) di Kabupaten Batubara, sedangkan variabel afiliasi
tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengembangan usaha kecil menengah di
Kabupaten Batubara. Uji statistik secara parsial variabel dinamisator, variabel
katalisator, variabel pendorong dan variabel innovator berpengaruh positif
signifikan terhadap pengembangan usaha kecil menengah di Kabupaten Batubara,
sedangkan variabel evaluator tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap
pengembangan UKM di Kabupaten Batubara.

THE EFFECT OF MOTIVATION AND YOUTH’S ROLE ON THE
DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SMEs)
IN BATUBARA DISTRICT
ABSTRACK
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is one of the sectors that has an
important role in the growth and improvement of the regional economy. The
existence and development of SMEs is expected to able to overcome the problems
on unemployment which become currently a major problem for Indonesia.
Batubara district as one of the districts that has the natural and human resources,
especially the youth expected to encourage SMEs to move and on develops. Youth
as one of the forefronts of the development of SMEs in Batubara District is
expected to be motivated to promote SMEs. This resources conducted to find out
effect of motivation and youth’s role on the development of SMEs in Batubara
District.
The type of research is a descriptive quantitative with 88 as the samples.
Population and samples of research are the practitioner of SMEs in Batubara
District aged 16 - > 50 years. Technique of collecting data are used the
questioners and survey to get the primary and secondary data.
The research concludes that motivations and youth’s role simultaneously
and significantly have effect on the development of SMEs in Batubara District.
Statistical test partially states achievement and power variable have effect
significantly and positively on the development of SMEs in Batubara District. The
affiliation variable does not have effect significantly on the development of SMEs
in Batubara District. However, the statistical test partially states that the
dinamisator, catalisator, supporting and innovator variables have effect positively
and significantly on the development of SMEs in Batubara District. While the
evaluator variable does not have effect significantly on the development of SMEs
in Batubara District.
