Agroforestri (Hevea brasiliensis) In Marjanji Village Asih Simalungun District.
Guided by MUHDI and DIANA SOFIAH HANAFIAH.
This study aims to calculate the types of understorey, moisture content,
biomass and understorey carbon in rubber agroforestry and rubber monoculture.
This research was conducted in Marjanji Asih Village Area, Simalungun District
and in Laboratory of Forest Product Chemistry, Faculty of Forestry, Bogor
Agricultural Institute (IPB) and conducted during July - October 2016. The
research method was done randomly in making plot sample 1x1 m2 as much as 18
plot of sample with 2 repeat on each sample plot. The plot sampling used
measuring 40x60 m2 as much as 6 plots, each 3 plots on rubber agroforestry and
rubber monoculture. The results of the carbon test were tested using Independent
Sample t Test. After the research was done, the results obtained with the number
of understorey species as many as 20 species in both locations, the same type
dominates in both locations namely rumput setawar (Borreria latifolia) with
Important Value Index (INP) of 47.12% in rubber agroforestry and52.33% in
rubber monoculture. The amount of carbon present in the rubber agroforestry
was 0.75 ton/ha and in the rubber monoculture 0.52 ton/ha, difference of carbon
0.23ton/ha.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung jenis tumbuhan bawah, kadar
air, biomassa dan cadangan karbon tumbuhan bawah pada agroforestri karet dan
monokultur karet. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan Desa Marjanji Asih,
Kabupaten Simalungun dan di Laboratorium Kimia Hasil Hutan, Fakultas
Kehutanan, Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) dan dilakukan selama bulan Juli Oktober 2016. Metode penelitian dilakukan secara acak dalam pembuatan plot
contoh 1x1 m2 sebanyak 18 petak contoh dengan 2 ulangan pada setiap petak
contoh. Adapun petak sampling yang digunakan berukuran 40x60 m2 sebanyak 6
plot, masing masing 3 plot pada agroforestri karet dan monokultur karet. Hasil uji
karbon diuji dengan menggunakan Uji Independent t Test. Setelah penelitian
dilakukan maka didapat hasil dengan jumlah jenis tumbuhan bawah sebanyak 20
jenis pada kedua lokasi, jenis yang sama mendominasi pada kedua lokasi yaitu
Rumput setawar (Borreria latifolia) dengan Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) 47,12%
pada agroforestri karet dan 52,33% pada monokultur karet. jumlah karbon yang
terdapat pada agroforestry karet sebesar 0,75 ton/ha dan pada monokultur karet
0,52 ton/ha, dengan selisih karbon sebesar 0,23ton/ha.
