Taneh Tongging Hotel Resort dengan Konsep Arsitektur Vernakular
Abstrak
Provinsi Sumatera Utara memiliki banyak potensi pariwisata. Danau
Toba menjadi salah satu destinasi wisata yang diunggulkan dari sepuluh destinasi
wisata di Indonesia. Budaya dan alam adalah salah satu elemen pariwisata
Danau Toba yang menjadi magnet wisatawan. Danau Toba sebagai danau
kaldera terbesar di dunia diajukan sebagai warisan geologi dunia .Tujuan
perancangan adalah untuk mengembangkan pariwisata ,melestarikan budaya
serta menjadikan Danau Toba sebagai pariwisata berbasis geopark dengan
merancang Hotel resort. Resort adalah sebuah kawasan yang terencana yang
menyediakan tempat penginapan dan rekreasi. Lokasi perancangan berada di
desa Tongging, Kabupaten Karo. Tema yang diterapkan adalah Arsitektur
Vernakular Karo. Arsitektur Vernakular Karo diharapkan dapat melestarikan
kebudayaan Karo serta menjaga kearifan lokal. Metode penelitian menggunakan
metode penelitian kualitatif. Klasifikasi hotel yang dirancang adalah hotel
bintang empat. Jumlah kamar adalah 115 kamar dengan 5 tipe kamar yang
berbeda-beda.

Abstract
North Sumatra province has a lot of potential for tourism. Lake Toba
became one of the favored tourist destinations of the top ten tourist destinations in
Indonesia. Culture and nature is one of the elements that became Lake Toba
tourist magnet. Lake Toba as the world's largest caldera lake is proposed as the
world's geological heritage .This intended to develop tourism, preserving the
culture and to make Lake Toba as a tourism based on geopark by designing a
Resort Hotel. Resort is a planned place that provides lodging and recreation. The
location is in the design of Tongging village, Karo District. The theme that is
applied is the Vernacular Architectural Karo. Vernacular Architecture Karo is
expected to preserve their culture and maintain local wisdom. The research
method using qualitative research methods.. The classification of hotel is a four
star hotel. Number of rooms is 115 rooms with 5 types different rooms.
