Respons Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Terhadap Komposisi Media Tanam dan Pemberian Pupuk Hayati Cair di Pre Nursery

guineensis Jacq.) Terhadap Komposisi Media Tanam dan Pemberian Pupuk
Hayati Cair di Pre Nursery, dibimbing oleh CHAIRANI HANUM dan ROSITA
SIPAYUNG.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari respons pertumbuhan bibit
kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) pada beberapa komposisi media tanam dan
pemberian pupuk hayati cair di pre nursery. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lahan
percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan (25 m dpl)
pada bulan April sampai Juli 2016. Metode percobaan yang digunakan adalah
Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan yaitu
komposisi media tanam (M1 : Top Soil , M2 : Top soil + Serat kelapa sawit ( 1 : 1
), M3 : Top soil + TKKS ( 1 : 1 ), M4 : Top soil + Sludge ( 1 : 1 ), M5 : Top soil +
Serat Kelapa Sawit + TKKS + Sludge ( 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 ) dan pupuk hayati cair (0, 5,
10 ml/liter air).
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pemberian pupuk hayati
cair berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman,
diameter batang, jumlah daun, total luas daun, volume akar, bobot basah tajuk,
bobot basah akar, bobot kering tajuk, dan bobot kering akar. Perlakuan komposisi
media tanam berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 6-14 MST, jumlah
daun 8-14 MST, diameter batang 8-14 MST, total luas daun, volume akar, bobot
basah tajuk, bobot basah akar, bobot kering tajuk, dan bobot kering akar. Interaksi
antara kedua perlakuan berpengaruh nyata terhadap terhadap tinggi tanaman pada
6-14 MST, jumlah daun 6-14 MST, diameter batang 6-14 MST, total luas daun,
volume akar, bobot basah tajuk, , bobot kering tajuk, dan bobot kering akar.
Komposisi media tanam terbaik yang menghasilkan jumlah daun terbanyak yaitu
M3 : Top soil + TKKS ( 1 : 1 ).

BARITO ALIMUDDIN : The Growth Response of Oil Palm Seedlings
(Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) of composition planting media and liquid biofertilizer
in Pre Nursery. Guided by CHAIRANI HANUM and ROSITA SIPAYUNG.
The objective of this research was to study the growth of oil palm
seedlings at Composition planting media and liquid biofertilizer in pre nursery.
The research had been conducted on the land of Agriculture Faculty, Sumatera
Utara University, Medan (25 m asl) in April until July 2016, by using Randomized
Block Design with two factors . The first factor is composition planting media (top
soil, top soil + fiber (1:1), top soil + Empty Palm Oil Fruit Bunches (EPOFB)
(1:1), top soil + sludge (1:1) and top soil + fiber + Empty Palm Oil Fruit
Bunches (EPOFB) + sludge (1:1:1:1) ) and the second factor is liquid
biofertilizer (0, 5, and 10 ml/litre of water)
The result showed that the treatment of giving liquid biofertilizer had no
significant effect on the all of parameters i.e. plant’s height, steem’s diameter,
number of leaves, total leaf area, wet shoot weight, wet root weight, dry shoot
weight, dry root weight, and the root volume. The treatment of composition palm
waste had significant effect on plant’s height at 6-14 weeks after planting, number
of leaves at 8-14 weeks after planting, steem’s diameter at 8-14 weeks after
planting, total leaf area, root volume, wet shoot weight, dry shoot weight, wet root
weight, and dry root weight. The interaction of composition palm waste media
and liquid biofertilizer had significant effect on palnt’s height at 6-14 weeks after
planting, number of leaves at 6-14 weeks after planting, steem’s diameter at 6-14
weeks after planting, total leaf area, root volume, wet shoot weight, dry shoot
weight, and dry root weight. Media composition M3 (top soil + Empty Palm Oil
Fruit Bunches (EPOFB) (1:1) gave the best results throught the the highest value
number of leaves.
