Abstract
Ba ckg rou nd : Soybean t em peh is known t o cont ain various kinds of ant ioxidant s
such as vit am in C, vit am in E, vit am in B2, saponins, isoflavones, phyt ic acid,
lecit hin, iron, and phyt ost erol. Ant ioxidant s are t hought t o be hepat oprot ect ive. The
obj ect ive of t his research is t o know t he influence of soybean t em peh ext ract t o t he
liver hist ological dam age of m ice ( Mus m usculus) and t he increase of soybean
t em peh ext ract dose can also incr ease prot ect ion effect t o t he liver hist ological
dam age of m ice ( Mus m usculus) which is induced by paracet am ol.
M e t ho ds: This was laborat ory experim ent al research wit h t he post t est only
cont rolled group design . Sam ples were 32 m ale m ice, Swiss webst er t ype, 2- 3
m ont hs old age and ± 20 g of each weight . Sam ples w er e divided int o 4 groups of 8
m ice each. Sam pling t echnique used in t his research was incident al sam pling . Mice
for cont rol group ( K) and P1 group will be given aquadest for 14 days in a row. The
P2 and P3 group will be given soybean t em peh ext ract s dose for 14 days in a row.
Soybean t em peh ext ract s dose in each group w as 2.2 m g/ 20 g weight of m ice and
4.4 m g/ 20 g weight of m ice. Paracet am ol w ill be given t o P1, P2, and P3, wit h dose
5 m g/ 20g weight of m ice on t he 12 t h t o 14 t h days. On t he 15 t h day, hepar of m ice
was t aken and st ainned wit h Hem at oxylin Eosin ( HE) for hist opat hological st udy.
The hepar cells of m ice w er e observed m icroscopically by count ing t he num ber of
necrosis cells on t he cent rolobuler zone. The dat a were analyzed by Oneway ANOVA
test and Post Hoc test (α=0.05).

85.00 ± 2.98; 43.75 ± 2.92; 31.00± 2.00consecut ively. The result s of Oneway
ANOVA t est showed a significant difference in all group ( p < 0.05) . The result s of
Post Hoc t est show ed significant differences bet w een K – P1, K – P2, K – P3, P1 –
P2, P1 – P3, and P2 – P3 wit h p < 0.05.
