4.2.1 Preliminary Field Testing

In this step, the researcher present the data gathered from the evaluation. The evaluators have an obligatory to give their opinions and suggestion by completing the provided questionnaires. The evaluators were consisting of two lecturers from English Language Education Study Program of Sanata Dharma University and an English teacher of Hotel Accommodation Class Sewon Vocational School 1. The discussion of the description of the respondents and the data presentation are as follows: Table 5. 4.2.1.1 The Result of Respondent’ Opinions on the Designed Materials

This part presents the respondents’ opinion on the designed materials by stating their agreement and disagreement and by choosing one of four points of agreement. The questionnaire is aimed to achieve feedback dealing with the appropriateness of designed materials for the grade XI students of hotel accommodation class Sewon Vocational School 1. Those conclusions were gathered from the opinion of the respondents. From table 7, on the statement number 5 67 respondents stated really agree that the material design can be implemented for hotel accommodation class’s students. In line with that, on the statement number 6, 100 all respondents stated really agree that the material design has face validity. However, there was a need to conduct a deeper exploration on the material design due to the respondents’ comments and suggestions.
