These two last excerpts showed that the translator only translated the idiomatic expression literally. The translator translated it without paying attention
to the exact meaning or message of the source language. In excerpt [7], the meaning of the word
“release” was literally translated into “angkat”. Translator was fail in discovering and re-expressing the meaning of the word. Therefore, the
translation was not accurate, clear, and natural. The researcher would like to recommend ‘kau harus merelakanku’ for the target language subtitle. The
researcher’s translation is more acceptable because it delivers the meaning from the source language accurately, clearly, and naturally.
Similarly, in excerpt [8], the word “stand up” was literally translated into
“berdiri”. In literal translation, this translation was correct. However, the word “stand up” in this excerpt was an idiomatic expression. The translator was fail to
deliver the meaning of the word, since heshe translated it literally, not idiomatically. In other words, the translator was not paid attention to the situation
in the movie. In the target la nguage, the word “berdiri” means a position or
someone who want to give a performance. Furthermore, the situation in the movie is not the situation when someone wants to give a performance, but the situation
when someone wants to make a decision. The researcher would like to recommend ‘dia masih terlalu muda untuk memutuskan’ because the translator
20 did not translate the idiomatic expressions from the target language. The
