T provides feedbacks: „Good‟ „Great‟ „Excellent‟ Figure 4.2 A Title Slide in the Presentation Stage In addition to the titles and learning objectives, the Presentation stage is facilitated through the following activities. 1 Let’s Watch Videos containing songs, dialogs, and chants are used in the Presentation stage to introduce the target language. They also serve to raise students‟ interest in the topic. The activity using the video in the Presentation stage is named Let’s Watch. 1. Pointing at the screen , T says: „Let‟s watch a video‟ 2. Ss look at the screen. 3. T says: „Let‟s see how people greet each other‟ 4. T clicks on the screen to play the video. 5. Ss watch the video. The activity using this technique is labeled Let’s Listen and Look. 1. T says „Listen and Look‟ with a gesture expressing listening and looking at the screen. 2. Ss answer „Okay‟ 3. T says „I‟m going to play the audio‟ and clicks on the first picture to play the audio. 4. Ss are listening to the audio while looking at the first picture. b. Practice

In the Practice stage, students are provided with controlled exercises. According to Harmer 2007, the first two stages in a PPP classroom, which are Presentation and Practice, focus on the construction of grammar elements. In the controlled practice students repeat a lot of phrases using the language they are learning. Those activities are design “to make students think about the language construction” Harmer, 2007, p. 52. The following are different kinds of Practice activities facilitated in the PowerPoint-based materials. 1 Listen and Say This activity is expected to familiarize students the some sounds. The absence of audio transcript is hoped to make students focus on sound, not what is written. 1. T says „Listen and say‟ with a gesture expressing listening and speaking. 2. Ss answer „Okay‟ 3. T clicks on the audio icon to play „Hi‟ 4.
