b. Conducting the Interview

The interview was done with the participants. This aims to get the reasons and opinions from the participans about the languages they used during the process of teaching-learning. Therefore, the interview questions were contructed based on the result of classroom observation data analysis. The researcher allowed the participants to express their response freely to obtain their real opinion. The researcher asked the participants with the same questions. 53 The researcher did the first interview on Friday, April 5 th , 2013 with the participant A. It was done at 09.15am it took about half an hour. Then the second interview with the participant B. The researcher did the second interview on Saturday, April 6 th , 2013. It was also done at 09.14 am rest time. In this research, the interviews was done by a phone call interview, therefore, during the process of interview, the reseacher took some notes to get the point of the participants’ response and idea. Accepting  When you enter the class you greet your students by using the expression “Assalammualaikum ” first then “good morning”. Do you have any reason for that? “Iya for a moslem people, it is our common role to greet each other with the expresson of “Assalammualaikum”. That why I used this expression to greet my students, then I greet them again with the Engl ish expression “good morning ” depend on the time when I enter to the class.” “For me, because mostly my students are moslem and in Indonesia the expression of “Assalammualaikum” has became a national expression used by not only moslem but also other at a formal ceremonial to greet the audiences. I used the English expression then so the students relize that they are having an English class at that time.”  According to you, what is the purpose of greet the students before you begin the lesson? “Oke, I think that is a common role of the teacher should do when he enter the class. By doing this, we invited the students to be ready participate in the learning process.” “That important to do. As usual when we meet someone especially those who we have known, of course we will greet them. Greet the students before start the lesson aims to encourage student’s behavior to more actively participate in the lesson.” 54  Do your students always response to your greeting? “Yes of course. They always answer with the two expressions I used to greet them.” “Iya...because they have familiar with these two expressions.”

c. Analyzing the Interview Data
