3.1.4. Konjungsi perangkai
Konjungsi adalah salah satu jenis kohesi gramatikal yang dilakukan dengan cara menghubungkan unsur yang satu dengan unsur yang lain dalam wacana
Sumarlam, 2003:32. Unsur yang dirangkai adalah kata, frasa, klausa, kalimat. Konjungsi dalam bahasa Inggris adalah sebagai berikut:
a. Konjungsi aditif penambahan
Konjungsi aditif berfungsi untuk memberi tambahan informasi pada informasi yang telah disampaikan sebelumnya. Wujud dari konjungsi ini adalah and, and
also, furthermore, moreover, additionally, beside that, or, likewise, in other word. Contoh:

Pada kalimat 35.TJP konjungsi and berfungsi sebagai penambah informasi yang disampaikan sebelumnya.
b. Konjungsi adservatif pertentangan
Konjungsi adservatif adalah konjungsi yang menyatakan pertentangan terhadap informasi yang disebutkan sebelumnya. Penanda konjungsi ini adalah
yet, though, only, but, however, nevertheles, in fact, actually, on the contrary. Contoh:
