Conclusion CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTIONS

to other people anymore. She could accept other people’s decision for their own lives. She also did not take revenge on Priest Andre’s death. She could forgive the killers. She is a wonderful woman with the combination of her unique characteristics. Priest Andre taught her many things. He taught her about love, mercy, forgiveness, sincerity, respecting other people, and other kinds of knowledge. Priest Andre is an intelligent, wise, and kind man. Madame Wu admired him more than any one she knew. Priest Andre gave great influence to Madame Wu’s personality. Most of Priest Andre’s teaching is the teaching of Christianity. Actually, Madame Wu did not like to be given the teaching of Christianity, but Priest Andre knew how to give it to her without making her feel to be influenced by another religion. Before Priest Andre, there was a woman, named Sister Shia, coming to Madame Wu frequently and teaching Madame Wu many kinds of Christian teaching, but she failed. Madame Wu was not influenced by her teaching at all. Sister Shia came to her and then taught her directly about the Christian teaching, but Priest Andre did not do so. He did not seem to teach or influence Madame Wu with a teaching of a religion, but he taught her more about life and giving her some examples of things and problems happening around them and how to face and solve them. He tried to give wise solution by applying love and forgiving in his solution to any problem that Madame Wu faced. He also gave the real example, namely his own life. Madame Wu learned many things from the way Priest Andre lived. Priest Andre did care about other people sincerely, although 53 they were not his family. He devoted himself entirely to help, love, and care about other people. From the way Priest Andre taught Madame Wu, she did not realize that actually she was not only learning about knowledge, but also Christian teaching. It can be seen that teaching someone does not need to give some speeches, but examples and the examples of real life of the teacher are more important and more effective in teaching. The examples can truly influence the learner because the learner can see directly the teaching in the teacher himself.
