B. Recommendations
For the recommendations, the researcher would like to give the recommendations to Basic Writing students, Basic Writing lecturers and future
researchers.
1. For Basic Writing Students
Students should maximize the use of blogs in Basic Writing class as media in improving their Basic Writing skills. Since the blogs use the Internet
connection, many sources and much information can be obtained through it. They can explore their knowledge, develop their skills and increase their creativity of
writing. Then, it could be better if the students always give comments on their writing each other in the blogs. The comments should be honest, attractive and
constructive. This aims to motivate each individual to give the best for their writing. Therefore, each student will pay attention more to their use of languages,
grammar and diction in writing. Moreover, the students also should be more active and independent in learning Basic Writing skill using blogs. They should
ask the lecturer or their friends if there is something that they do not understand in learning.
2. For Basic Writing Lecturers
The role of educators in each implementation of learning a medium is important. It is also similar to the use of blogs in Basic Writing class. The
lecturers in Basic Writing class should pay more attention to the students’ learning. The researcher suggests that the lecturer explain the material and the use
59 of blogs in detail. It will also be better if the lecturers can give feedback to the
students’ writing in blogs. This aims to provide an opportunity for the students to know and correct their mistakes in writing. In addition, the lecturers should post
the material in blogs so that the students can check the material given.
3. For Future Researchers
For future researchers who will discuss further related to this research, there are still more related topics which can be developed from this research. Future
researchers can inquire further into the topic such as the comparison of students’ achievement between the Basic Writing class which uses blogs and Basic Writing
class which does not use blogs in learning. Besides, the topic can be also about the lecturers’ perception on the use of blogs in Basic Writing class. Future researchers
can also more concern and focus on the implementation of blogs and the new material design on the use of blogs in writing class.
