ABSTRACT
MUHAMMAD HATTA. (Characteristic of Carcass and Non Carcass Production
of Local Sheep Fed with different Levels of Shrimp Waste). Above direction of

Local sheep can provide a high quality of meat, but it contains a high
saturated fat which may cause atheriocloresis and blood pressure. The objectives
of this study were to determine the effect of shrimp waste used in sheep nutrient
on the carcass and non carcass characteristics and to obtain the optimum taraf of
shrimp waste on the nutrient of local sheep fattening. Sixteen local rams of 8
month old and average body weight of 15 kg were used in this study. This study
designed in completely randomized design, with four treatment of shrimp waste
tarafs on sheep nutrient (P0=0%, P1=10%, P2=20% and P3=30%) and four
repetition. Local sheep were reared for three months and then slaughtered for
carcass and non carcass measurements. The Results show that the treatment can
