Persepsi tentang sekolah pada siswa adalah suatu penafsiran siswa terhadap suatu stimulus yaitu
sekolah mereka. Persepsi siswa terhadap sekolah dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman, lingkungan,
kebudayaan dan pola fikir. Hal ini juga berlaku pada persepsi siswa terhadap sekolah.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa terhadap sekolah mereka. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, subyek penelitian adalah siswa
SMP Kertanegara Malang, yang ditentukan dengan teknik simple random design, yaitu sampel
yang dilakukan secara acak yang langsung dikenakan pada unit sampling sebagai anggota unit
populasi yang terkecil memilki peluang yang sama untuk mewakili populasi. Data primer
diperoleh dari angket persepsi siswa terhadap sekolah dan di analisis menggunakan rumus
prosentase. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret 2005.
Dari hasil penelitian diketahui secara umum siswa – siswi memiliki persepsi yang positif
terhadap sekolah, hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari jawaban – jawaban yang diberikan pada angket.
Dan diketahui pula bahwa siswa – siswi SMP Kertanegara memiliki persepsi yang positif pada
aspek – aspek yang lainnya yang ada di sekolah yaitu aspek kegiatan belajar mengajar, aspek
guru pendidik, dan aspek sarana pendidikan.
Abstract
Perceptions of school by students is a student interpretation of a stimulus that is their school.
Perceptions of students to the schools affected by the experience, environment, culture and way of
thought. This also applies to student perception of school.
This study aims to determine students' perceptions of their school. This research uses descriptive
method with quantitative approach, the study subjects were junior high school students Kertanegara
Malang, which is determined by simple random design, the sample was randomly which directly bears
on the sampling unit as a member of the smallest population unit has equal opportunity to represent
the population . Primary data obtained from the questionnaire the students perception of the school
and in the analysis using the percentage formula. Time study conducted in March 2005.
From the research results known to the general student - students have a positive perception of school,
this can be evidenced from the answers - answers given in questionnaires. And note also that the
students - junior high school students Kertanegara have positive perceptions on aspects - aspects that
others in the school which aspects of teaching and learning activities, aspects of teacher educators, and
aspects of education facilities.
