4.1 Descriptions of Prefixes

Based on Parera 1994:18, Prefix is one of the affixes process. It is placed in front of the base form of free morpheme to add or change its form, distribution, and function of words.

4.1.1 Prefix pre-

a. Form

Prefix pre- does not change the form when it is attached to these base form: 1. Pre- + mature bsf  premature 2. Pre- + caution bsf  precaution

b. Distribution

Prefix pre- can be attached to Adjective and Noun : 1. Pre- + mature Adj  premature 2. Pre- + caution N  precaution

c. Function
