1.6 Thesis Organization
This research is divided into five chapters, and each chapter discusses different topics.
Chapter I is Introduction. It consists of background of the study, statement of problem, scope of the study, objective of the study, significance of
the study, and thesis organization. Chapter II is Review of Related Literature. It is consist of: review of
previous research, the theory of culture, theory of translation, cultural word theory, translation strategies, readability, novel, and figurative framework.
Chapter III is Research Method. The chapter deals with research design, unit of analysis, source of data, method of data collection, and method of data
analysis. Chapter IV is Data Analysis. It discusses about the translation strategies
and the readability of every cultural word in the novel. Chapter V is Conclusion and Suggestion. This chapter includes the
conclusion about analysis and suggestion dealing with the topic of the research.
CHAPTER II REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
Review of related literature is about every statement, theory, information, knowledge, paper, and other things that related to the main of this
analysis and used as background of the theory. This chapter is divided into 8 subchapters: review of previous literature, culture, translation, cultural word,
translation strategies, readability, novel and figurative framework. In this section, the researcher discusses about some previous research
projects that are similar to this study as to restrain plagiarism or duplication. In the culture point, the researcher reviews about the theory of culture, and the
relationship between culture and translation. In the translation point, the researcher reviews about the theory of translation in many sectors such as: the
definition of translation, types of translation. In the cultural word point, the researcher reviews about the theory of
cultural words and the relationship of cultural words with some other theories. In the translation strategies point, the researcher reviews about the theory of
The Translator’s Invisibility by Venuti 1995: 1-42. In the readability point, the researcher reviews about several theories of readability that consist of the
readability factors and the level of readability. In the novel point, the researcher reviews about the novel and project of analysis. The figurative framework
point is about the way of thinking for this analysis.
