UNIT 1: LET’S PLAY TOGETHER A.
Warming Up
The teacher asks students the questions in Warming-up section. The teacher may choose some students to answer the questions and share the
answers to the class. It is aimed to prepare the students to go to the reading text.
B. Your Tasks
The teacher asks stu dents to read the text on “Hopscotch”. After
reading the text, the teacher asks students to do the reading comprehension and vocabulary quiz. Then, the teacher and the students discuss the answer
together. Before doing the next task, the teacher asks students to form a group of 2-
3. In a group, the students read the explanation about “Procedure Text” in Did You Know part. Then, the teacher asks the groups to do the Task 4 on
page 4. Later, the groups of the students share the answer to other groups. Next, the teacher asks students to do the vocabulary quiz in Task 5
individually. It is aimed to help students to comprehend the text. Then, the teacher and the students discuss the answer together. After checking the
answers, the teacher asks students to read th e text on “Making a Kite”. Then,
teacher asks students to do the Task 7 and 8. After checking the answer together, the teacher asks students to go back to their former group to discuss
the task 9. The students then report it in written form to the teacher.
C. Language Focus
The teacher asks the students to read the explaination about “Imperative Sentences” on page 7. Then, the teacher also gives brief
explanation to the students. After that the teacher asks students to do some
71 excercises on Let‟s Practice part. In the end of the section, teacher and
students discuss the answers together.

Warming Up
In order to activate students‟ background knowledge, the teacher asks students to do the task in Warming-up section. After that, the students and the teacher
discuss the answers together.
