1. Lesson Plan 1

From the learning objectives formulated, the participant had designed some activities which had been classified into the introductory, developmental, and closing activities. In this lesson plan, the introductory activity were greeting and showing some pictures. The teacher would ask some questions related to that pictures which could support the teacher to lead the students to the topic. In the interview, the participant gave example in which the teacher showed a picture of fireworks. Then, students should guess in what event usually they saw firework. After the students could guess that the event was New Year, they should share their experience of that event. There were some activities listed in the developmental activities. The first one was review on recount text. The next one was the teacher asked the students to make a group of 3-4 and gave them jumbled paragraph. For the next activity, the participant wrote “memberi penjelasan pada siswa tentang apa yang harus dikerjakan ”. It means that the teacher should give instruction on what the students should do. It was not clear yet, what kind of instruction that the teacher should deliver to the students. The next activity was also unclear, the participant wrote “memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mengerjakan soal-soal latihan”. Here, the teacher gave the students opportunity to do the assignment. However, kind of assignment that the students should do was not explained. After that, there would be class discussion. The next activity required the teacher to explain the step of writing recount text. The last one in the developmental activities was the teacher asked the students to make a draft of a recount text. 49 In the closing activities, the teacher would deliver some questions on the material they had learned. As an example, the teacher would ask the generic structure of recount text. Then, the teacher would also deliver the concluding remark. There were some unclear activities which appeared in the developmental activities that did not clearly explain what the teacher and the students should do. As a result, it was hard to put the activity in one of the learning objectives. The researcher could not determine in which objectives this activity belonged. Moreover, if this lesson plan was implemented in school, there would be misunderstanding. Let us say that the teacher who made this lesson plan could not come the class so that there should be another teacher to replace himher. Obviously, that teacher would be confused what to do if heshe should follow the activities in the lesson plan.
