ABSTRACT
The objective of this research was to determine cognitive map’s differences between
freshmen and final year students at Brawijaya University. The sample in this research were
10 freshmen and 10 final year students in each faculty of Brawijaya University, total sample
of this research are 240 students. Extracting data using cognitive map’s scaled with four
answer choices, 23 questions are based on the cognitive map dimension those are path,
landmarks, districts, edges, and nodes. The results of the analysis using independent sample
t-test showed that there were significant differences in coginitive map (p = 0.01, p
