ABSTRACT
Range of contraceptive method that is simple and modern contraceptive
methods. The most widely used contraceptive is the KB injection. Side effects of
the injection method is that there is weight gain. Early in the BPS survey obtained
data from 10 participants of family planning acceptors injecting 3 months, 8
acceptors increased the average weight 3.38 kg. And 10 family planning acceptors
injections 1 month, 9 acceptor increased the average weight 2.3 kg. The purpose
of this research is studying the differences in weight change of family planning
acceptors injecting 1 month and 3 months.
The design of this study is a comparative study with case control. The study
population was all family planning acceptors injecting 1 month and 3 months with
use of KB injecting at least one year in Terung Wetan Krian-Sidoarjo in 2011,
amounting to 49 respondents. This study uses sampling techniques nonpropability
incidentally with a large sample of 49 respondents. The collection of data by
noting the results of weighing the present and see the results of the medical
record. After collecting the data analyzed data using Chi-Square test.
Based on test results of Chi Square test analysis 2x2 tables, the assumption
can not be met because there are 2 cells expectation value
